Poem WW1
People dying
Left and right
Mothers crying
And staying up all night
Letters sent home
Saying it’s going to be ok
But in reality
Bullets are whizzing past their ears
Gases making their tears
Earth shakes and quakes
Just from all the tanks
Their shells hit from
15 miles away
Your nerves stand on end
Your ready to move on the front
Over the trench
Your best friend is already over the top
You go 3 seconds after them

And when you go over the top
You see that it was the end for your friend
Then 20 years later
Your out they’re again
To fight to the end
You pray never ever again
